The Beach Head is an action game / strategy in 1983 set in World War II. You play different parts of an amphibious landmap that tries to capture an island in the theater of the Pacific Ocean of war. At each stage of the game you are responsible for another part of the attack on the original naval strategy in the last attack on the enemy’s position. Each stage is essentially another mini game, which makes it a very diverse experiencein game. Combining arm operation beachThe head is a critical hit when releasedat 80 and is easy to see why. Although graphics are not yet complete (but ambitious for their day), it combines a wide variety of different types of games from the navigation of the shotgun to a single package. You need to ship your ship on the island battle. The enemy team is pushing a tank during the attackand then capture the heavily defended enemy bunker to capture the island. The control is simple – most just drive the car and from time to time – and the sound is minimalist. A classic ClassicBeach Head’s80’s graphics and sound value can of course not touch the modern equivalent, but the main game is fun and challenging. If you are interested in the history of video games, this ambitious title is definitely worth checkingout.
